Edible Easingwold
A Community Project
Thank you for you interest in our horticulture project.
Anyone and everyone can benefit from gardening and being outside so we are extending an invitation to all the people in the area with any levels or expertise or enthusiasm to be part of Edible Easingwold. The concept is that if you put something in..... (ie weeding and watering) you can get something back (ie take as much veg as you can carry!)
The club were very lucky to be financially supported in the Edible Easingwold Project by Chevin Housing Association, who, in the first instance provided us with small planters, tools and troughs. These are now erected and are waist level so the project can include people who would prefer to garden at that height. These are placed within the grounds of the Galtres Centre www.galtrescentre.weebly.com where we meet so that we can maintain them on a regular basis.
We have a real mix of veg and plants in there, so do go and have a look. The greenhouse which we will access courtesy of the Boot Shop is now ready to go and we are busy planting. If you can spare even 30 minutes please contact Rebecca at [email protected]
So, all that there is to say is that the project is to be inclusive, healthy and most of all, fun. We meet as a group on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the day so do pop along and talk to us at the Galtres Centre if you are around.
